Seeing Connections

As I look back at my earlier comments about seeing conections, it's so nice when you really make those connections - an a-ha moment! I've been playing around with both Flickr and Blogs (blogger and multiply), and have become more comfortable with how they work. Using each additional feature in these tools gets easier as I see the way they interact. But my a-ha moment is the Flickr badge now on my blog. Finally, two of my new tools are working together. What a feeling of accomplishment when things work.

From here, I still have features of these tools to become comfortable with, but all these new tools in the virtual toolbox are in use and are useful to education partly because they are fun as well as functional. We should all be planning to keep using these tools even after our coursework is over. After all, they are fun. And useful. And educational. The real learning comes when the learner knows how to use the tool, and can use it to learn or teach.
